A typical winter day

My days look a little different when J comes to stay with me. Here's an example of things we might do on a typical day: The boy pretty much wakes up saying "I'm hungry!" (pronounced hongry.) So it's off to breakfast we go, either cereal or fruit to get going, followed up sometimes by a peanut butter sandwich with a smidgen of jelly. Next comes some TV-watching, either cuddling with the pups or cuddling with the Ahna. :)

Putting together a puzzle is a favorite thing to do.

Very occasionally we might go visit Uncle while he has his lunch, and have lunch ourselves.

We go to the library quite often, where we can pretend to be a lion color on a preschool learning game
build houses and towers with cardboard blocks

and play on the computer some more.

We also read books while we're there, put together puzzles, and check out books and books on CD.

Soon it is time for a supper of Boca nuggets, green beans, and whole wheat bread.

And sometimes we have a chocolate ice cream to cap off the evening, napkin in hand of course.

Not long after it's time for a couple books to be read, and then I listen to his dream, his problem, and his question. Then it's music time and a goodnight kiss while the little man is ready to drift off.

In case you can't tell, I love having J visit me! We have our challenging times when we don't like each other very much, but the happy and fun times are much more numerous.
