On My Mind
On my mind today is what I should sprout next. I recently sprouted some mung beans we had in our cabinet forever. It was my first time sprouting, and was oh so easy! Next time I will only sprout a couple tablespoons at a time though, because I wound up throwing several of these sprouts in the compost.

I love sprouts too. Lentils make really good sprouts when they are cooked with brown rice.
Then hens finally at the beans I sprouted after I put meat taste on them with pan drippings. They don't like kidney beans any better than I do, apparently! I bought lentils to sprout, but I haven't. Why did you throw some of the sprouts out? Of course, I did--to the hens. did they go bad or something?
I will have to give sprouted lentils a try. I'm sure we will love them!
I threw them out because it had been well over the alloted 7 days per the book I got my instructions from, and I just wasn't comfortable eating them anymore.
I love sprouts but haven't had a go at them in years - will have to try some again. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks, GV,
I did not have a book to guide me, just various places off the internet.
