Day 8 was our day to visit the Oregon coast! It was also a rainy day, but we still enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
Our day started off with breakfast at A.N.D. cafe.
Cheesecake. Because why not?
After breakfast it was on to a day of driving and exploring!

We walked down a long trail to visit a lighthouse, and took in some more beautiful views.
It was such a fabulous day. The Oregon coast is simply breathtaking. We have traveled the Eastern coast of the United States a few times but I had never seen the Pacific Ocean. (Mr. GV visited Hawaii with the National Guard many years ago.) I am a person who enjoys the sun and warmth a bit, but am just as happy being on a beach that is overcast and a bit chilly.
We traveled back to Portland and had dinner at Sudra.
