Birthday celebration

My mom had a birthday in December. She came over and spent the night with us so we could celebrate with her. I decided to make her a cake, and finally settled on a chocolate cake with coconut caramel frosting.

And then it was time for presents. She got a gas card...

...and a homemade card that told her she is going to an event early the next year. We are all 3 going, and are excited about it! The best part is that our event is near J's house, AND we'll be able to celebrate his 3rd birthday with him!!

Naturally Macy had to stake her claim to a spot in the chair.

For lunch, we went out to the Mexican restaurant, which was already decorated for Christmas.
